CSC FLORIDA ENTERS INTO COLLOCATION AGREEMENT
WITH WESTSTAR/PUNTA ALTA MEDIA GROUP

The service provided by CSC at its Miami Teleport will host an antenna and equipment and connect via internet to WestStars facility in Grand Cayman Island.

CSC, Inc. is a 40-year infrastructure communications company. Corporate Satellite Communications Florida, Inc. specializes in maritime VSAT and Audiovisual System Integration Services to education and commercial applications. In 2008 CSC acquired Digital Video Systems, a maritime installation and SI specialist, and merged its capabilities with CSC’s satellite operations creating a powerful new company designed to address a wide range of communications requirements for the maritime market.

WestStar TV came onto the scene in Grand Cayman in 1993 launching the island’s first cable television service, with just 10 channels. In the following years, 23 more channels were added and cable TV service was introduced in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. By 2004, WestStar invested in upgrading its systems from analogue to digital technology, giving customers better picture and sound quality, and most importantly, more channels.  WestStar is a longstanding member of the Caribbean Cable and Telecommunications Association, and the Caribbean Cable Cooperative – two key organizations enabling WestStar to leverage regional buying power to bring subscribers more choice.

WestStar is no longer just TV — WestStar is a company dedicated to providing and investing in

techonology that will improve the lives of everyone who calls the Cayman Islands home. WestStar is already busy at work installing the best island-wide fiber optics network.

"Providing world-class technology to the Cayman Islands is our passion."
