WestStar TV came onto the scene in Grand Cayman in 1993 launching the island’s first cable television service, with just 10 channels. In the following years, 23 more channels were added and cable TV service was introduced in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. By 2004, WestStar invested in upgrading its systems from analogue to digital technology, giving customers better picture and sound quality, and most importantly, more channels. WestStar is a longstanding member of the Caribbean Cable and Telecommunications Association, and the Caribbean Cable Cooperative – two key organizations enabling WestStar to leverage regional buying power to bring subscribers more choice.
WestStar is no longer just TV — WestStar is a company dedicated to providing and investing in
techonology that will improve the lives of everyone who calls the Cayman Islands home. WestStar is already busy at work installing the best island-wide fiber optics network.
